We’re seeking a Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of Zero's digital products as we rapidly expand on our go-to-market product and scale at pace. This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious B2C fintech start-up where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product. You’ll be joining a small team where you’ll be the sole Product Owner, reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
Product Management & Delivery
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it’s aligned with Zero’s product and business strategies.
- Oversee the development of new product initiatives from ideation through to release, including the project management of technical integrations with 3rd party providers from end-to-end.
- Provide clarity and support to the development team, answering questions and addressing issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the development team to coordinate and execute feature releases to deliver value to our customers quickly and often.
- Continuously monitor the development process to ensure that timelines, scope, and quality standards are met.
- Confidently lead various ceremonies such as refinements, stand-ups and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and efficient product delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with the development and design teams to transform requirements into actionable user stories that deliver value to our customers and the business.
- Act as the subject matter expert for our products and the primary point of contact for various stakeholders, including customer support, marketing and external partners.
- Communicate development progress and feature releases to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the customer support and development teams to triage and resolve customer-facing issues, ensuring all issues are documented, tracked and resolved efficiently.
Research
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, user needs, and opportunities for innovation.
- Conduct user research including surveys, interviews, and customer focus groups to gather feedback that can be used to make data informed product decisions.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Product Owner within a software development team, preferably within the fintech industry.
- Proactiveness with an ability to take initiative and drive product development from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to support our mission.
